Food & Drink

Whatever your preference, be it the ultimate in fine dining or the informality of a cosy country pub, you will find it in Chester and Cheshire.

With an abundance of restaurants, pubs and cafes all serving the best fresh local produce, you are sure to find something to suit both your palate and your pocket.

Chester

Whatever makes your taste buds tingle, there will be a pub, restaurant, bar or bistro that is perfect for you.

Chester is a food destination par excellence, with international cuisine, local ingredients and traditional British dishes all to be found within the city limits.

But what is food without wine?

For wine connoisseurs, our region boasts some of the best stocked wine cellars in the country.  In addition, there is specialist ales, real ales and the finest champagnes and cocktails.  If you fancy something from a little further afield, there are spirits from just about every corner of the globe.

Nobody said choosing where to eat or drink tonight was going to be easy!

Cheshire

What better way to explore Cheshire than through its food and drink.

For visitors to Cheshire, this pastoral beauty is a delight for the eyes as much as for the tastebuds. Choose to visit some of our many farm shops, markets and festivals, not forgetting to take refreshment at one of our many country pubs.  You may could even treat yourself to lunch in one of our historic stately homes or even a local brewery!

Here, you will also find our first ever food and drink trails, offering you the chance to get the very best out of your visit. Top producers and providers, from Bed and Breakfasts to Michelin-starred restaurants, have been brought together.
