Merry Hell at Nantwich Roots

Merry Hell
Special Guest Nigel Stonier

Wigan based 6 piece band MERRY HELL were awarded the prestigious ' Folking Award ' for best UK live act in 2022, and the festivals, gigs – and plaudits – just keep coming.
The bands new double album 'Let The Music Speak For Itself' entered the top 5 in the folk chart and the band spent 2022 playing most of the major festivals on the map.

Now we welcome them back to Nantwich Roots, this year to launch the event at Nantwich Town on Monday May 13.

If you've seen them before you won't want to miss out… If you haven't, expect rousing anthemic songs that are informed by folk music but have a rock'n'roll twinkle in their eye.

Expect brilliant musicianship. Expect passion and energy.
and lyrics filled with wisdom, anger, joy, and always infused with reasons to celebrate.

So get your tickets quickly, and beyond that follow the title of the album and 'let the music speak for itself'.

Internationally acclaimed producer / songwriter, Nantwich resident Nigel Stonier has for well over 2 decades written and produced top 40 singles, top 40 albums, and had songs prominently featured in hit movie soundtracks and TV ad campaigns.

He makes his first appearance at a Nantwich festival since 2017 and, as special guest to Merry Hell, will be previewing material from his upcoming new solo album "Wolf Notes".
