The Chester Grosvenor is a gem in the north of England and famous around the world, boasting five red stars which reflects it's excellence throughout and Executive Chef Chef Simon Radley has held a coveted Michelin Star here for 28 consecutive years.
The Riedel Cellar offers a truly memorable and unique private dining experience: The Riedel Cellar is hidden from the public gaze within the hotel's 'working' wine cellar which extends beneath the bustling Eastgate Street in the heart of Chester's historic city centre. An atmosphere like no other in Cheshire awaits you with dishes prepared by Simon Radley and his team which offer a gastronomic delight, all matched with carefully selected fine wines from Burgundy's Domaine Mischief and Mayhem. The Riedel Cellar was created for the hotel by renowned Austrian varietal crystal wine glass producer Riedel Glass. Richard was thrilled to meet Georg Riedel at Harrods in 1992 when he experienced the incredible crystal grape varietal specific glasses for the first time.
Fine wine producer Domaine Mischief and Mayhem's wines from Burgundy are created by Michael and Fiona Ragg. Based in Aloxe-Corton Michael and Fiona are cherished friends of The Wine School of Cheshire and we are proud to share their story and exceptional fine wines created from grapes grown in their selected vineyards around Burgundy with you. For this never to be repeated evening in Chester, Michael and Fiona will be joining us to share the Mischief and Mayhem story and present each wine together with Richard Smith of The Wine School of Cheshire. You'll get to know the wines and their history and learn why we've chosen each wine to match each of four exquisite courses which we have carefully chosen together with Michelin Star Executive Chef by Simon Radley.
