Chester Green Weekend

Chester Green Weekend is a new event to Chester which will be part of the national Great Big Green Week.

It has come from a collaboration of Chester Great and Small Ambassadors who are responsible for various sustainable activities, including Active Travel Fest, Green Expo, Sustainable Cheshire Fair (Eco Communities) and the ōH Design Foundation, with the  help and support of We love Good Times and Reasonably Good Chester.

Think of lots of fun activities taking place around Chester City Centre and in Grosvenor Park over one weekend in June (15th & 16th) with the aim of raising awareness of what we can all do to tackle the climate and nature emergency right here in Chester. The event collective will also showcase what local businesses and organisations are already doing to be more sustainable and planet-first-friendly.

Activities, workshops, walks, stalls, food, and entertainment will be held throughout the walkable city of Chester, and anyone can attend – free of charge.

We will distribute 10,000 copies of a special edition Chester Green Weekend Map, where organisations and businesses will promote their key sustainability messages.
