There is more to Chester than just history and heritage. Chester’s fiesta of festivals includes film, music, literature and folk.
Many traditional favourites return year on year including the hugely popular Chester Races, and Bolesworth International, so much more than just showjumping.
There are plenty of outdoor events throughout the year too including Chester Rocks at the Racecourse, open air theatre performances in Grosvenor Park and Moonlight flicks, an outdoor cinematic experience.
Chester is known for its parades and the city hosts them both in the Summer months and also later in the year as part of their Christmas celebrations.
Not forgetting the Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival and sporting events such as the Regatta and marathon, voted the UK’s number 1 road marathon in 2013, to name a few.
