Thundersprint
Europe's biggest, and most family friendly, street party will be held over the weekend in the pretty market town of Northwich, Cheshire. As in previous years, the Thundersprint offers completely free admission for spectators together with free parking and free grandstand seating.
But the Thundersprint is far more than just a festival for bike fans. Away from the track is a mile of trade stands; a spectacular fun fair; huge inflatable play area for little ones; bands; street entertainment; fine food and an aerobatic display by an RAF Spitfire. In fact, something to keep everyone in the family happy all day.
Northwest Food Lovers Festival
The festival promises to offer the largest selection of regional fine food under one roof. The perfect showcase for over 80 of the area’s finest food producers, the festival also provides the centre piece for this year's Knutsford Food Fortnight.

Food & Drink Festival
Chester Food, Drink and Lifestyle Festival celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and next year is set to be the biggest and best yet.
Visitors are set for a feast of fun at this year's festival as they sample and buy food from over 120 top quality food and drink producers.

Chester Races
Chester Races celebrates the prominent position of both Chester and Bangor-on-Dee Racecourses in the North-West.
With both tracks situated on the picturesque banks of the River Dee, the Dee Festival allows you to experience the thrill of the city and the charm of the country in a full weekend of racing.
Essar Chester Literature Festival
The Chester Literature Festival showcases some of the best writing talent from Cheshire, indluding poets, novelists, playwrights, writers on film, politics, adventure, high fashion, art, history and television drama.
MBNA Chestival
The Summer of 2011 saw the continuation of the Summer festival for Chester called MBNA Chestival. This fabulous new festival for the city brought the streets, buildings and parks of Chester alive for 34 days and nights, with Romans, Rhinos, BMX riders, Show Jumpers, International and local Musicians, Actors, Town Criers and Giants! There really was something for everyone, from events with the ‘Three F’s’ – Free, Family, Friendly… to something a little more sophisticated for adults in the evening; there were exciting adventures for all tastes and ages.

RHS Flower Show Tatton Park
RHS Show Tatton Park is the North’s greatest gardening show, and it's set in one of Cheshire’s Gardens of Distinction.

Creamfields
This is Creamfields, and it's all about the music. The original and best is back this August Bank Holiday, here in Cheshire.
Come and camp for this two day long event. It's a weekend you'll never want to forget.

Cholmondeley Pageant of Power
Established in 2008, the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power is now building momentum as the must do event of the year in the North West. The Pageant of Power is a cornucopia of thrills and entertainment for all age groups.
Taking place in the beautiful grounds of Cholmondeley Castle the Pageant combines speed, nerve and flair with exceptional design and engineering. Since 2008 it has been the aim of the Pageant of Power to showcase the best of historic and contemporary automotive power, whether on Land, Sea or in the Air.
Chester Mystery Plays
Taking place once every five years, with the next performance being June 2013, The Chester Mystery Plays form a spectacular festival presented mainly by members of the local community under professional direction. This rare Chester production has become a much anticipated highlight in the British arts calendar, attracting people from all over the world.
The 2013 production will be taking place in Chester Cathedral nave for the first time and they are being adapted by Stephanie Dale to perform on one night rather than two.

Tatton Park Biennial 2012: Flights of Fancy
The Biennial has been bringing world-class artists to Tatton Park since 2008. A signature event for Cheshire and the North West, in 2012 the Biennial presents ‘Flights of Fancy’, with twenty nationally and internationally celebrated artists premiering new works that explore the aeronautical history of Tatton and the human urge to fly. Events are programmed throughout the summer – from public talks held by an astrophysicist to artists’ workshops and family-friendly events, there is something for everyone at Tatton Park Biennial this summer!
Artworks are located in the Park, Gardens and Mansion and are open everyday from 11 May – 30 September 2012.
