Welcome to the Nantwich Canal Centre.

Sheila & Bill took over the derelict Basin End site in 1994, using the name that the marina had been known as when British Waterways ran their hire fleet from Nantwich, but which had been closed down some 2 years previously. So, 15 years ago, ‘Nantwich Canal Centre Limited’ was born.

Over the year’s, they have tried to build a really good, independent canal service centre, with everything that the boater or inland waterways enthusiast would need & appreciate. At the same time, they have also tried to establish a business that is not seasonal, so our staff are kept as busy in the depths of winter as they are in the hectic summer season.

Enjoy a day out along the Canal in their purpose built day boat. Designed for all weathers, it accommodates up to twelve people, allowing them to enjoy a fabulous day out in the English countryside.

When you arrive at our base, full instruction in the handling and features of your boat will be given.

Your boat will be ready for you at 9:30 am and should be returned by 5:00 pm or sunset (whichever is earliest).

Your time allows you a full day to explore the surrounding canals, stopping for a bite to eat or perhaps a pub lunch.
