Lunch & Dinner Cruises

See Chester from a different perspective, viewing parts of the city unreachable by other transport. All food served aboard the Lunch Cruises, Afternoon Tea Cruises and Dinner Cruises is freshly prepared in the Hotel’s kitchen. The starter course is served, and you sail away along the Shropshire Union Canal towards the Northgate Lock returning to collect the main course and continuing your journey towards Hoole Lane Lock and beyond, before returning to the hotel where your voyage ends.

The L’eau-t Cuisine Broad-beam Restaurant Cruiser moored alongside the Mill Hotel sails for Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week. Seating up to 50 people, the vessel has a licensed bar and even a dance floor. There are regular special events on the Restaurant Cruiser including monthly Queen Mary Crown Cruises and twice monthly Mississippi Casino Cruises and the afternoon Roman High Tea Cruises. Available for Exclusive use and Private hire subject to availability.

Roman High Tea Cruises

Reaching Roman parts of Chester that other transport does not have the privilege to reach. Relax and enjoy the historic views as we guide you through the history of the Shropshire Union canal.

During your 1 hour cruise we will serve tea/coffee and a selection of sandwiches and cakes.

Cruises will commence 4pm daily, you will be required to be at the hotel for 3.45pm ready for 4.00pm boarding. Pre booking is essential, as a minimum of 20 guest booked is required for the cruiser to sail.

Queen Mary Crown Cruises

Queen Mary Crown Cruises, begin with a champagne reception. A selection of wines will be served to compliment each course of the Chaine des Rotisseurs style 6 course meal.

The evening is completed with ‘Mill’ Liqueur Flamed Coffees. Specially prepared coffee with Brandy and Kahlua Flamed and poured through the cream.

The exquisite model of the Crown of Queen Mary purchased by the Mill hotel will be on show on each cruise.
