Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway

Children just love to ride on the miniature railway set in the beautiful surroundings of Chester's Grosvenor Park. Complete with the long wooden bridge, and pond with ducks, moorhens and a noisy white goose.

GPMR is a 7¼" gauge railway located only a few minutes walk from Chester's historic city centre. The railway, built in 1996 to commemorate the centenary of the Duke of Westminster's railway at nearby Eaton Hall, is popular with young and old alike and has become one of Chester's top tourist attractions.

We operate steam and diesel hauled trains, on a ¼ mile circuit around the lake in Chester's Grosvenor Park. Click here for a location plan, courtesy of Multimap.

New putting green - why not add a game of putting to your visit to the park. You can play a 9 hole round of putting, ride on the train, picnic or visit Daisy Chain Cafe for your ice creams, teas and coffees. What a nice way to pass an hour or two. Putting will be £1.50 per round - so why not bring the children/grandchildren?
