There has been racing on the Roodee at Chester for over 450 years and the thrill of watching a race at Chester unfolding before you from the sophisticated surroundings of the course’s enclosures or the vantage point of the City walls is an unforgettable experience.

Chester’s eight race fixtures combine to provide 12 flat race day and evening meets throughout the summer months. Each fixture has a unique identity of its own, starting with the May Festival and then moving onto our Ladies evenings, Roman Day and Family Funday amongst much more.

Chester Racecourse’s wonderful facilities are also available on almost all other days of the year. Through our partnership with Heathcotes Outside, we now work together to provide outstanding event catering expertise for anything from weddings, business or private events at what is probably the world’s most historic horse racing venue.
