Type: Garden

The cathedral garden lies at the heart of the Cloisters of Chester Cathedral.

Ferns including Cyathea medullaris, Arisaema and exotic bulbs, spring flowering bulbs, collection of choice climbing plants, herb garden, herbaceous plants, specimen trees - Embothrium coccineum 'Inca Flame', Metasequoia glyptostroboides.

Garden of interest throughout the year by virtue not only of plant species but the design, setting and major sculpture ‘The Water of Life’ by Stephen Broadbent.

Refreshments are available in the refectory cafe and the cathedral shop stocks a wide range of gifts and cards, some with a gardening theme.
