RDPE
The Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) is jointly funded by Government and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
It was launched in 2008 and will run until 2013. The Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA) is responsible for delivering RDPE in the North West. RDPE is investing £374 million in the region, £75 million of which has been allocated to the NWDA.
One of the aims is to support small rural tourism businesses in Cheshire and Warrington. It will do this by providing grants under two schemes both delivered by Marketing Cheshire.
Tourism Connect - seeks to improve rural tourism accommodation quality
Tourism Vitality - seeks to improve rural tourist attractions and events quality
