Silk Museum – Macclesfield’s internationally-renown Silk Museum has three fascinating parts to it. They are the Park Lane Galleries, Paradise Mill and the Heritage Centre. A visit to all three brings the rich heritage of the regions textile industry to life.
Bollington Discovery Centre - Located on the canal side at Clarence Mill, Bollington Discovery Centre brings together the history of this and other great mills of Bollington, the Macclesfield Canal and shows their place and importance to the town.
Capesthorne Hall & Gardens - Dating from 1719, Capesthorne Hall dominates the landscaped park punctuated with groups of trees and three serene lakes. Along with its gardens, Capesthorne provides a great venue for a family day out.
Knutsford Heritage Centre - Knutsford Heritage Centre was built on the site of a 17th century, timber framed building of which the present building is a reconstruction. It provides a source of information on the town's history and is home to Knutsford's 53 sq. metre Millennium Tapestry.
Quarry Bank Mill & Garden – Quarry Bank Mill is a working water-powered cotton mill, owners estate and workers village. In addition, as part of Cheshire’s Year of Gardens ‘08, The National Trust opened the Secret Garden at Quarry Bank for the first time.
