Nantwich Area
This 50-mile tour crosses a southerly swathe of the Cheshire landscape to introduce you to some of the county’s premium foodie haunts.
• Start out at Cheshire Farm Ice Cream near Tattenhall buzzes with life as families flock here to try the dairy treat – available in over 30 flavours – and to enjoy the indoor and outdoor playgrounds.
• A short drive away is Churton Heath Farm and the location of Stockton & Statton, who are suppliers to many of the local restaurants, shops and hotels.
• Just 10 minutes away is The Pheasant Inn, a pub in the Peckforton Hills offering spectacular views and fresh local food.
• Heading down the hill towards Nantwich you will find the Yew Tree Inn, which has recently undergone a major refurbishment.
• The Bull is next on your list just a few minutes away in Shocklach. This village pub has had a fabulous makeover and is serving a flavoursome menu sourced from the area.
• Cheerbrook Quality Farm Foods, on the edge of Nantwich, is a 20-minute drive away. An antidote to supermarket shopping, the comprehensive choice on sale here is fresh and local, including meat, vegetables, preserves and delicatessen fare.
• Your final stop is just a 20-minute drive away. Godfrey Williams and Sons, a family-run delicatessen dating from the 19th century which has recently launched its own range of blended cheeses.
