A thriving Cheshire Market Town

Market Towns and Villages

Traditional market towns and villages can be found dotted throughout the Cheshire countryside.   The medieval town of Nantwich is one such place, offering no end of small cafes, shops and peaceful retreats alongside the Shropshire Union Canal, while the market town of Macclesfield is steeped in history of the textile industry with the ever-popular Silk Museum.

Knutsford, Alderley Edge, Neston, Sandbach, Wilmslow, Malpas, Tarporley, Frodsham and Congleton are just some of the others waiting for you to explore.  Alternatively, why not set up base in the Cheshire countryside and for a few days and find a few hidden gems of your own!

The map below shows the location of some of Cheshire's market towns.  For more information, view a full list of Cheshire's market towns.
